Introduction: The article concerns sense of coherence and styles of coping with stress in group of adolescents brought up in children’s homes and in family homes. Short characteristic of functioning of youth from educational care facilities was presented in the first part of the text. The functions of children’s homes and family homes are described. El ensayo ofrece un ?mapa? de los intereses en conflicto en la asignación de la vivienda familiar después de la separación o el divorcio y sus reglas de gobierno. La revisión crítica de la doctrina judicial, que considera la preservación del ?hábitat? doméstico como criterio exclusivo, lleva al autor a redefinir el fundamento axiológico de la legislación vigente, para proponer una interpretación diferente capaz de optimizar la promoción del interés superior del menor, sin afectar los intereses en competencia de una manera irracional y desproporcionada.

W artykule wykorzystałam fragmenty moich badań, przygotowanych na podstawie wywiadów narracyjnych. Główny przyjęty przeze mnie problem badawczy sformułowałam w formie pytania: jakie znaczenie ma rodzina w kształtowaniu postaw prospołecznych u tych osób, które realizują zadania ponadosobiste? Poszukuję również odpowiedzi na pytanie: czy w biografii własnej i rodziny można odnaleźć źródła zainteresowania problematyką społeczną? Zegar słoneczny [trans. Th e Sundial] by Parandowski is a collection of 13 short-stories loosely based on the author’s memories of childhood and early youth spent in a Lvov school. Written in a chatty and humorous manner, with a touch of lyricism, the stories assume a form of a sentimental recollection of a journey to distant years. Lyrical phrasing, careful choice of words, and poetic images hint at the artistic profession of the author. Because of these qualities the work becomes coherent in terms of semantics and composition.
